SWEEPSTAKES OVERVIEW

The City of Sac® Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is a promotional sweepstakes open only to eligible legal residents of Sacramento County, as defined below.


This Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable local regulations.

SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD

The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00 AM Pacific Time on December 1, 2025 and ends at 11:59 PM Pacific Time on June 18, 2026 (the “Sweepstakes Period”).


All entries must be received during the Sweepstakes Period in accordance with these Official Rules.


ELIGIBILITY

Open only to individuals who, at the time of entry:

  • Are legal residents of Sacramento County
  • Are 18 years of age or older
  • Can provide valid proof of Sacramento county residency (government-issued ID and supplemental proof such as utility bill, lease, or similar documentation)


Not eligible:

  • Residents outside Sacramento County
  • Employees, contractors, officers, directors, affiliates, agents, and immediate family members of Sponsor
  • Anyone entering on behalf of another person


Failure to meet eligibility requirements results in disqualification.


AGREEMENT TO RULES

By entering, participants agree to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding.


HOW TO ENTER


A. ONLINE PURCHASE ENTRY (Optional)

During the Sweepstakes Period, eligible entrants who make a purchase via the official City of Sac® website will receive Sweepstakes entries based on the offer disclosed at the time of purchase.

  • Entries are based on pre-tax purchase amount
  • Shipping charges and discounts are excluded
  • Entry multipliers or bonus promotions may be offered
  • Returned or refunded purchases will void associated entries

⚠️ Purchase is optional. No purchase is required to enter or win.


FREE MAIL-IN ENTRY (No Purchase Required)

To enter without purchase, mail a handwritten entry including:

  • Full legal name
  • Sacramento residential address
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Date of birth

Mail-in entries:

  • Must be postmarked no later than June 18, 2026
  • Must be received by June 20, 2026
  • Must be handwritten
  • Limit one (1) mail-in entry per outer envelope
  • Each valid mail-in entry equals one (1) entry

No photocopies, mechanically reproduced entries, bulk shipments, or third-party submissions permitted.

Entries received after June 20, 2026 will not be eligible.

FRAUD & ABUSE

Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any individual who:

  • Attempts to manipulate the entry process
  • Submits fraudulent information
  • Purchases products with intent to return for entries
  • Violates these Official Rules

Sponsor may void suspect entries at its sole discretion.


PRIZE

Grand Prize:

One (1) cash prize of Ten Thousand Dollars (USD $10,000).

Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $10,000.

Prize will be awarded in the form of a check or electronic transfer at Sponsor’s discretion.

No substitution, transfer, or assignment of prize permitted except by Sponsor.


DRAWING & NOTIFICATION

• Random drawing conducted on or about June 20, 2026

• Winner selected from all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period

• Winner will be contacted via phone and/or email

Winner must respond within 48 hours of initial notification.

If winner:

• Fails to respond

• Cannot verify Sacramento county residency

• Is deemed ineligible

An alternate winner may be selected.

TAXES

Winner is solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes associated with the prize. Sponsor may issue an IRS Form 1099 if required by law.


RELEASE & LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

By entering, participants release and hold harmless Sponsor and its affiliates from any claims arising from participation or prize acceptance, except where prohibited by law.


PUBLICITY

By accepting the prize, winner grants Sponsor the right to use winner’s first name, city, image, and likeness for promotional purposes without additional compensation, where permitted by law.


GOVERNING LAW

This Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the State of California.

All disputes shall be resolved individually in courts located in Sacramento County, California.


SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these Official Rules is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain enforceable.


SCAM NOTICE

Sponsor will never request:

  • Credit card information
  • Banking information
  • Payment to claim a prize

Any such request is fraudulent.
